LINE OF STRONG/SEVERE STORMS EXTENDING FROM WRN LAKE SUPERIOR ACROSS
EXTREME WRN UPPER MI...WRN WI INTO SERN MN IS CONTINUING TO MOVE EWD
20 KT. THINNING OF CLOUDS AHEAD OF THE LINE HAS ALLOWED MODEST
DIABATIC HEATING TO OCCUR WITH SURFACE TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW
80S...AND WHEN COMBINED WITH DEW POINTS IN THE MID/UPPER 60S... ARE
RESULTING IN MLCAPE OF 500-1000 J/KG. NEW STORMS ARE FORMING WITHIN
THE WEAKLY CAPPED ENVIRONMENT IMMEDIATELY AHEAD OF THE LINE OVER WI
WHICH MAY RESULT IN FASTER DISCONTINUOUS PROPAGATION OF THE LINE
OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS. THIS CONVECTIVE ACTIVITY CONTINUES TO
OCCUR ALONG LEADING EDGE OF STRONGER WINDS ALOFT DOWNSTREAM FROM THE
INTENSE UPPER LOW ALONG THE NERN ND/SWRN MANITOBA BORDER...WITHIN A
ZONE OF 30-40 KT DEEP LAYER SHEAR. THREAT FOR DAMAGING WIND GUSTS
WILL PERSIST FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS...ESPECIALLY FOR ANY BOWING
SEGMENTS THAT MAY DEVELOP.
