VALID 180038Z - 180215Z
THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH
561...562...CONTINUES.
LITTLE CHANGE IN THE GENERAL ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS HAVE OCCURRED
THE PAST FEW HOURS. A CLUSTER OF STORMS CONTINUES TO EVOLVE AND
SPREAD SOUTH SOUTHEASTWARD ACROSS THE SOUTHERN HIGH PLAINS...WITH AN
ASSOCIATED UPPER IMPULSE. THE MOST VIGOROUS NEW STORMS... INCLUDING
SUPERCELLS...CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ALONG THE SHARP THERMAL GRADIENT
DEMARCATING THE EASTERN EDGE OF THE STRONGEST AFTERNOON SURFACE
HEATING. THIS COULD APPROACH...BUT MAY REMAIN JUST TO THE WEST
OF...PLAINVIEW AND LUBBOCK BETWEEN NOW AND 02-03Z. AND...IT STILL
SEEMS PROBABLE THAT CONSOLIDATING COLD POOLS WILL EVENTUALLY LEAD TO
A MORE ORGANIZED DAMAGING WIND THREAT BEFORE STORMS WEAKEN ACROSS
THE SOUTH PLAINS LATER THIS EVENING.
