AN UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH OVER THE SERN CANADA WILL MOVE EWD AS AN BROAD
UPPER-LEVEL RIDGE BUILDS EWD ACROSS THE PLAINS STATES FRIDAY. AT THE
SFC...A FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL LIKELY EXIST FROM THE SRN APPALACHIAN
MTNS WSWWD INTO THE LOWER MS VALLEY AND SRN PLAINS. SCATTERED
THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD DEVELOP ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE BOUNDARY FRIDAY
AFTERNOON. FORECAST SOUNDINGS ACROSS THE SRN STATES GENERALLY SHOW
0-6 KM SHEAR VALUES OF LESS THAN 20 KT SUGGESTING MOST OF THE STORMS
WILL BE PULSE IN NATURE. A FEW OF THE STORMS MAY HAVE STRONG GUSTY
WINDS ESPECIALLY WHERE INSTABILITY AND LOW-LEVEL LAPSE RATES BECOME
LOCALLY STEEP IN THE LATE AFTERNOON.
