A BROAD AND FLATTENED UPPER-LEVEL RIDGE OVER THE CNTRL U.S. WILL
MOVE EWD INTO THE ERN U.S. AS AN UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH AMPLIFIES IN THE
FOUR CORNERS REGION. SFC HEATING ALONG WITH STRONG LIFT AND COLD AIR
ALOFT ASSOCIATED WITH THE WRN STATES TROUGH WILL BE FAVORABLE FOR
THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING FROM ORE EWD INTO THE
CNTRL ROCKIES. ELSEWHERE...A COLD FRONT IS PRESENT ACROSS SOUTH FL
AND MODERATE INSTABILITY IS EVIDENT ON OBJECTIVE ANALYSIS SOUTH OF
LAKE OKEECHOBEE. THIS IS FUELING SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WHICH
SHOULD CONTINUE INTO THE EVENING HOURS.
