LOW LEVEL PATTERN WILL REMAIN UNFAVORABLE FOR DEEP MOIST CONVECTION
THROUGH THE PERIOD...AS FAST/ZONAL MID AND UPPER LEVEL FLOW PERSISTS
OVER MUCH OF THE COUNTRY. SHALLOW MOIST CONVECTION AND THE
POSSIBILITY OF AN ISOLATED LIGHTNING STRIKE OR TWO MAY ACCOMPANY
VERY COLD AIR OVERSPREADING THE PAC NW COAST TODAY.
ADDITIONALLY...A LOW PROBABILITY OF AN ISOLATED LIGHTNING STRIKE
WILL DEVELOP IN LEE OF THE LOWER GREAT LAKES /ESPECIALLY LAKE
ONTARIO/...WHERE VERY STEEP LOW LEVEL LAPSE RATES AND 50-100 J/KG
SBCAPE COULD SUPPORT BRIEF THUNDER WITH LAKE EFFECT SNOW BAND/S/
LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT. ELEVATED MOIST CONVECTION SHOULD ALSO
INCREASE INTO PORTIONS OF THE SRN PLAINS LATE TONIGHT AS SSWLY LLJ
INTENSIFIES.
