NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0141 PM CST WED NOV 28 2007

VALID 282000Z - 291200Z

..NO TSTM AREAS FORECAST...

..SYNOPSIS/FORECAST...
A CONTINENTAL POLAR AIR MASS CONTINUES TO COVER A LARGE PORTION OF
THE COUNTRY AND WILL CONTINUE TO PRECLUDE TSTMS THROUGH TONIGHT.
THE ONLY EXCEPTION WILL BE THE POSSIBILITY OF AN ISOLD STRIKE OR TWO
ACROSS CNTRL/SRN FL LATE THIS AFTN/EARLY EVE. HERE...BOUNDARY LAYER
MOISTURE HAS RECOVERED S OF A RESIDUAL FRONT WHERE SFC DEW POINTS
WERE IN THE 65-70 DEG F RANGE. A FEW SHOWERS HAVE DEVELOPED ACROSS
THE REGION IN THE WEAKLY UNSTABLE ENVIRONMENT. HOWEVER...RECENT
ACARS AND FCST SOUNDINGS SUGGEST THAT LAPSE RATES ABOVE H7 REMAIN
WEAK AND WILL LIKELY NOT BE FAVORABLE FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN ISOLD
TSTMS /BELOW THE 10 PERCENT GENERAL TSTM THRESHOLD/.

.RACY.. 11/28/2007
