AN ELONGATED POSITIVELY TILTED UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH OVER THE FOUR
CORNERS REGION TONIGHT IS FORECAST TO CLOSE-OFF AND MOVE TOWARD WEST
TX SATURDAY. A SFC LOW JUST OFF THE TX COAST WILL MOVE SLOWLY NEWD
DURING THE DAY AS A LOW-LEVEL JET OVER SOUTH TX GRADUALLY
STRENGTHENS. THIS WARM ADVECTION REGIME WILL FAVOR THUNDERSTORM
DEVELOPMENT ALONG AND NORTH OF THE BOUNDARY ACROSS SOUTH TX SATURDAY
AND SATURDAY NIGHT WITH ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ALSO POSSIBLE FURTHER
EAST ACROSS THE LOWER MS VALLEY. THE STRONGER INSTABILITY SHOULD
REMAIN OFF THE TX AND LA COASTS AND ORGANIZED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
ACTIVITY IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE DAY 2 PERIOD.
