AREAS OF SCATTERED SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING
ALONG PARTS OF THE WRN U.S. AS STEEPER LAPSE RATES ATTENDING UPPER
TROUGH MOVE INLAND. HOWEVER...INSTABILITY IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN
INSUFFICIENT FOR SIGNIFICANT LIGHTNING ACTIVITY.

..LOWER MS VALLEY THROUGH SERN STATES...

LOW LEVEL JET ATTENDING UPPER TROUGH CURRENTLY MOVING THROUGH THE MS
VALLEY WILL SHIFT EAST INTO THE TN VALLEY OVERNIGHT LEAVING WEAK WLY
LOW LEVEL FLOW OVER ERN TX AND THE LOWER MS VALLEY. DEWPOINTS IN THE
50S HAVE ADVECTED INTO SERN TX. HOWEVER...WITH LOW LEVEL WINDS
EXPECTED TO VEER AND WEAKEN...FURTHER BOUNDARY LAYER RECOVERY WILL
BE LIMITED TONIGHT. A FEW SHOWERS ARE CURRENTLY DEVELOPING OVER SERN
TX...BUT THIS ACTIVITY WILL REMAIN SHALLOW BELOW A STOUT INVERSION
PRESENT IN THE 850-700 MB LAYER. MOREOVER...LARGE SCALE SUBSIDENCE
IN WAKE OF EWD ADVANCING UPPER TROUGH WILL FURTHER LIMIT
THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL TONIGHT.
