EVENING WATER VAPOR IMAGERY SHOWS A POSITIVELY-TILTED TROUGH AXIS
SLOWLY PROGRESSING SEWD THROUGH THE SRN PLAINS...AND ATTENDANT TO
STRONGER VORTICITY MAXIMUM DIGGING SEWD OVER BAJA/GULF OF CA. THIS
UPPER SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE SEWD OVERNIGHT...INDUCING WEAK CYCLONE
DEVELOPMENT OVER THE NWRN GULF OF MEXICO. SELY 850 MB WIND FIELDS
WILL CONCURRENTLY STRENGTHEN...SUPPORTING SOME AIR MASS
DESTABILIZATION ABOVE 800 MB VIA WARM THERMAL AND MOISTURE
ADVECTIONS. THIS INCREASE IN LARGE-SCALE FORCING FOR ASCENT AND
WEAK DESTABILIZATION MAY BE SUFFICIENT FOR A FEW ELEVATED TSTMS LATE
TONIGHT ALONG THE COAST.
