A MIX OF FREEZING RAIN/SLEET WILL DEVELOP NEWD THROUGH THE REGION
BETWEEN 08-13Z. HRLY ACCUMULATION RATES UP TO 0.20 INCH WILL BE
POSSIBLE WITH THE STRONGEST CONVECTIVE SHOWERS...BUT AVERAGE RATES
WILL BE LESS THAN 0.10 INCH.

LATEST SFC ANALYSIS SHOWS THE FREEZING LINE EXTENDING FROM NEAR LEX
KY SWWD TO NEAR PAH. A SHORTWAVE TROUGH OVER SRN MO/WRN AR AND
MODERATE WAA ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT
NEWD MOVEMENT OF A LARGE AREA OF PRECIPITATION FROM THE MID MS
VALLEY NEWD THROUGH THE OHIO VALLEY. WET-BULB COOLING AFFECTS WILL
SUPPORT A NEARLY STATIONARY OR SLOW SWD MOVEMENT OF THE FREEZING
LINE THROUGH THE OHIO VALLEY. GIVEN THE CONVECTIVE NATURE OF THE
PRECIPITATION...SLEET MAY BE DOMINANT P-TYPE MODE...ALTHOUGH THE
DEPTH OF THE ELEVATED ABOVE FREEZING LAYER /2-3 KM/ SUGGESTS
FREEZING RAIN WILL ALSO BE LIKELY...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF
THE OHIO RIVER. THE PROGRESSIVE NATURE OF THIS SYSTEM SUGGESTS THAT
ANY ONE LOCATION WILL ONLY RECEIVE 1-2 HRS OF MODERATE PRECIPITATION
RATES.
