04/11/2008 WINSTON AL NWS STORM SURVEY

30-40 PINE TREES WERE UPROOTED AND FELL ON POWER LINES
WHICH PARALLEL COUNTY ROAD 195. THIS DAMAGE WAS CAUSED BY
STRAIGHT LINE WINDS. THE DAMAGE PATH WAS APPROXIMATELY
600 FT WIDE AND 450 LONG. WIND SPEEDS WERE ESTIMATED
BETWEEN 70 AND 75 MPH.

04/11/2008 FAYETTE AL NWS STORM SURVEY

DAMAGE OCCURED TO A HOME AND ADJACENT SHED WHEN AN OAK
TREE WAS UPROOTED. ALSO, MULTIPLE OTHER TREES WERE
SNAPPED AND UPROOTED. DAMAGE WAS CAUSED BY STRAIGHT LINE
WINDS. DAMAGE PATH WAS APPROXIMATELY 500 FT LONG AND WIND
SPEEDS WERE ESTIMATED BETWEEN 75 AND 80 MPH.

04/11/2008 WALKER AL NWS STORM SURVEY

MULTIPLE PINE TREES WERE UPROOTED ADJACENT TO A HOME ON
NEW OAK GROVE ROAD. ONE OF THE TREES FELL ON AND
DESTROYED A CARPORT. THE DAMAGE WAS CAUSED BY STRAIGHT
LINE WINDS WHICH WERE ESTIMATED TO BE BETWEEN 70 AND 75
MPH.

04/11/2008 ETOWAH AL NWS STORM SURVEY

SPORADIC UPROOTED AND SNAPPED TREES WERE FOUND ALONG A
4.5 MILE DISTANCE. THE DAMAGE WAS CAUSED BY STRAIGHT LINE
WINDS. SOME OF THE DOWNED TREES FELL ON HOUSES AND OUT
BUILDINGS CAUSING STRUCTURAL DAMAGE. SOME LIGHT/MINOR
ROOF AND STRUCTURAL DAMAGE WAS NOTED IN THE FORM OF
SHINGLE AND SIDING DAMAGE. ONE OLDER BRICK BUILDING IN
THE DOWNTOWN AREA LOST A PORTION OF A WALL

0425 PM TORNADO HOOVER 33.38N 86.82W
04/11/2008 JEFFERSON AL NWS STORM SURVEY

IN THE COLONIAL GRAND APARTMENT COMPLEX, MULITPLE TREES
WERE SNAPPED AND UPROOTED. THE TORNADO MOVED NORTHEAST
AND CAUSED DAMAGE IN THE CEDAR BROOK APARTMENT COMPLEX.
MULTIPLE TREES WERE SNAPPED AND MAJOR ROOF DAMAGE
OCCURRED WHEN A BRICK FIRE WALL USED TO SEPARATE UNITS
COLLAPSED. THE PATH LENGTH OF THE BRIEF TORNADO WAS
APPROXIMATELY 2000 FT LONG AND 75 FEET WIDE. THE TORNADO
HAS BEEN RATED AN EF-0 ON THE ENHANCED FUJITA SCALE AS
DAMAGE WAS CONSISTENT WITH WINDS OF 75 TO 80 MPH.
