NWS SURVEY CONFIRMED EF0 TORNADO...ONE WHICH CONTINUED
FROM 2 MILES SOUTHEAST CHATAIGNIER IN EVANGELINE
PARISH...ACROSS WESTERN ST. LANDRY PARISH 1 MILE SOUTH OF
PRAIRIE RONDE. AMONG THE DAMAGE FOUND WERE TIN AWINGS AND
PART OF A TIN ROOF RIPPED OFF A COUPLE OF MOBILE HOMES
ALONG PRAIRIE RONDE HIGHWAY/SR 103. DAMAGE TO TREE TOPS
WERE OBSERVED ABOUT 1 MILE EAST OF PRAIRIE RONDE. TOTAL
TRACK LENGTH OF TORNADO IN ST. LANDRY PARISH WAS 5
MILES...WITH A WIDTH OF 40 YARDS.

NWS SURVEY CONFIRMED EF0 TORNADO WHICH BEGAN 2 SOUTHEAST
CHATAIGNIER ON ST. JUILAN ROAD/SR 95 AND LANSE BOURBEUSE
ROAD/PR 1-115 IN EVANGELINE PARISH...WHERE THE GREATEST
DAMAGE OCCURRED. THE TRACK ENDED 1 E OF PRAIRIE ROND IN
ST. LANDRY PARISH...FOR A TOTAL LENGTH OF 8.5 MILES AND
50 YARDS WIDE. AMONG THE DAMAGE FOUND WERE NUMEROUS TREES
DOWN AND TREE TOPS RIPPED OFF...TIN SHEDS BLOWN
APART...METAL AND SHINGLE ROOFING BLOWN OFF HOMES.

GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL REPORTED. HAIL BROKE WINDSHIELDS.
ALSO CONSIDERABLE WIND DAMAGE REPORTED AS WELL.

NWS SURVEY CONCLUDED THAT STRAIGHT LINE WINDS CAUSED THE
EXTENSIVE TREE AND POWERLINE DAMAGE ABOUT 500 YARDS WIDE
ALONG SR 182 JUST NORTH OF NUBA. THIS PLACEMENT OF THE
DAMAGING WINDS IS LIKELY THE REAR FLANK DOWNDRAFT PORTION
OF THE THUNDERSTORM THAT PRODUCED THE TORNADO JUST A MILE
SOUTH OF THIS LOCATION.

NWS SURVEY CONFIRMED EF0 TORNADO WHICH BEGAN 5 MILES
NORTHEAST OF OPELOUSAS AND ENDED 5 MILES NORTH OF
OPELOUSAS...OR JUST SOUTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF US 167
AND LA 182. TOTAL TRACK LENGTH WAS AROUND 4 MILES...AND
TRACK WIDTH UNDETERMINED. AMONG THE DAMAGE WAS SEVERAL
LARGE TREES BLOWN OVER...LARGE TREE BRANCHES
SNAPPED...AND PORCH AND SHED DESTROYED ALONG DEPRIMO
LANE/PR 5-20.
