THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
PARTS OF SOUTHEASTERN GEORGIA
EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA
EASTERN SOUTH CAROLINA
COASTAL WATERS
EFFECTIVE THIS TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 340 PM UNTIL
1100 PM EDT.
TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
GUSTS TO 80 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
AREAS.
THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 60 STATUTE
MILES EITHER SIDE OF A LINE FROM 35 MILES NORTHEAST OF CAPE
HATTERAS NORTH CAROLINA TO 60 MILES SOUTH SOUTHWEST OF ORANGEBURG

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR

THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
