INTENSE LAKE EFFECT SNOW BAND WITH OBSERVED RATES APPROACHING 5
IN/HR WILL LIKELY DIMINISH TOWARDS 06Z...WITH SNOWFALL RATES FALLING
TO AOB 2 IN/HR OVERNIGHT.

RECENT RADAR IMAGERY HAS DEPICTED CONSOLIDATION OF MULTIPLE BANDS OF
LAKE EFFECT SNOW INTO ONE SINGLE INTENSE BAND CENTERED ACROSS ANTRIM
AND OTSEGO COUNTIES. SNOWFALL RATES OF 3 TO 5 IN/HR HAVE BEEN
REPORTED DURING THE PAST HOUR INVOF KGLR. THESE IMPRESSIVE RATES
SHOULD BE SHORT-LIVED AS MID-LEVEL TROUGH AXIS PASSES EWD AND
WARMING INCREASES/LARGER-SCALE ASCENT WANES. THIS WILL EFFECTIVELY
LOWER INVERSION HEIGHTS /DEPICTED IN UPSTREAM TAMDAR SOUNDINGS OVER
UPPER MI AND WI/...AND RESULT IN DIMINISHING SNOWFALL RATES.
