THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

SOUTHERN ARKANSAS
NORTHERN LOUISIANA
SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA
NORTHEAST AND NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS

EFFECTIVE THIS SATURDAY NIGHT FROM 605 PM UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70 STATUTE
MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 20 MILES SOUTH SOUTHWEST OF
FORT WORTH TEXAS TO 50 MILES SOUTHEAST OF MONTICELLO ARKANSAS.

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR

AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

DISCUSSION...MULTIPLE CLUSTERS OF SEVERE STORMS ARE MOVING ACROSS
NORTHEAST TX AND INTO SOUTHERN AR/NORTHERN LA THIS EVENING. VERY
UNSTABLE AIRMASS AND SUFFICIENT VERTICAL SHEAR...COUPLED WITH
APPROACHING STRONG UPPER TROUGH WILL POSE A CONTINUED RISK OF SEVERE
STORMS FOR SEVERAL MORE HOURS. BOWS/LEWPS AND ISOLATED SUPERCELLS
MAY RESULT IN TORNADOES...DAMAGING WINDS...AND HAIL.

AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
