TWO HIGHLY MERIDIONAL UPPER-LEVEL TROUGHS EXIST OVER THE CONUS...ONE
OVER THE WEST COAST AND THE OTHER OVER THE ERN COAST WITH AN
UPPER-LEVEL RIDGE IN THE CNTRL STATES. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL
BE POSSIBLE IN WRN ORE AND WRN WA WHERE LAPSE RATES ARE QUITE STEEP
ASSOCIATED WITH THE UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH MOVING INLAND. THIS TROUGH
AND A POWERFUL MID-LEVEL JET WILL APPROACH THE FOUR CORNERS AREA
LATE TONIGHT. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY MAY ALSO DEVELOP LATE
TONIGHT AS THE EXIT REGION OF THE MID-LEVEL JET MOVES ACROSS UT AND
WRN CO. A FEW THUNDERSTORMS MAY ALSO INITIATE IN SOUTH TX AND
SRN/CNTRL FL WHERE MODERATE INSTABILITY IS CURRENTLY ANALYZED BY THE
RUC.
ELSEWHERE...THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS NOT EXPECTED TONIGHT ACROSS THE
CONUS.
