A LARGE UPPER-LEVEL RIDGE WILL REMAIN IN PLACE ACROSS MUCH OF THE
CONUS SATURDAY WITH A CLOSED-OFF LOW EMBEDDED IN THE RIDGE OVER THE
CNTRL STATES. THIS FEATURE IS FORECAST TO GRADUALLY DEEPEN DURING
THE DAY AS LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE SLOWLY ADVECTS NWD ACROSS THE LOWER TO
MID-MS VALLEY. SCATTERED THUDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP BY SATURDAY
AFTERNOON ACROSS MUCH OF THE WARM SECTOR FROM THE OZARKS SEWD INTO
THE ERN GULF COAST STATES. FORECAST SOUNDINGS ALONG THIS CORRIDOR
SATURDAY AFTERNOON SHOW WEAK VERTICAL SHEAR PROFILES SUGGESTING THE
SEVERE POTENTIAL WILL BE LIMITED. ISOLATED TO SCATTERED
THUNDERSTORMS WILL ALSO DEVELOP IN THE FOUR CORNERS REGION BUT THIS
ACTIVITY IS ALSO EXPECTED TO REMAIN BELOW SEVERE LIMITS.
