09/10/2009 NOWATA OK DEPT OF HIGHWAYS
STATE HWY 10 AT CEDAR CREEK WAS CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER
SHORTLY BEFORE 9AM. AT 9AM...THE RIVER GAGE ALONG THE
VERDIGRIS RIVER NEAR LENAPAH REPORTED A STAGE OF 29.7FT
WHICH WAS BELOW FLOOD STAGE. HWY 10 IS USUALLY IMPACTED
WHEN THE VERDIGRIS REACHES 34FT. HOWEVER...DUE TO THE
RISING RIVER AND SEVERAL DAYS OF RAIN IN THE AREA...CEDAR
CREEK HAS OVERFLOWED ITS BANKS.
