SPC AC 021236

DAY 1 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0636 AM CST SAT JAN 02 2010

VALID 021300Z - 031200Z

...NO TSTM AREAS FORECAST...

...SYNOPSIS...
COMPACT MID LEVEL LOW MOVING ACROSS THE NRN INTERMOUNTAIN REGION
SHOULD ENHANCE MOIST CONVECTION EARLY TODAY...AS EVIDENCED BY
ELEVATED CAPE EVIDENT AT SLC THIS MORNING AND EARLIER LIGHTNING
ACTIVITY NEAR THE GREAT SALT LAKE. HOWEVER...EXPECT TSTM POTENTIAL
WILL REMAIN VERY LIMITED AS DEEP ASCENT OVERSPREADS THE CENTRAL
ROCKIES THROUGH TODAY.

ELSEWHERE...CONDITIONS APPEAR TOO STABLE TO SUPPORT THUNDERSTORM
ACTIVITY IN WAKE OF STRONG SURFACE COLD FRONT.

..EVANS.. 01/02/2010
