A LARGE TROUGH WILL LINGER OVER THE ERN HALVES OF CANADA AND THE
U.S. THIS PERIOD...WHILE A SRN STREAM SHORT-WAVE TROUGH/LOW
PROGRESSES EWD ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE COUNTRY.

MOST OF THE COUNTRY WILL REMAIN COOL/STABLE...PRECLUDING DEEP MOIST
CONVECTION. THE EXCEPTION WILL BE ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE
SOUTHWEST...WHERE STEEPER LAPSE RATES/COOLING ALOFT ASSOCIATED WITH
THE AFOREMENTIONED TROUGH MAY YIELD MINIMAL DESTABILIZATION. AS A
RESULT...SCATTERED SHOWERS -- AND POSSIBLY A FEW THUNDERSTORMS --
SHOULD AFFECT PARTS OF THE SOUTHWEST...PARTICULARLY DURING THE
