NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0734 AM CDT TUE MAR 23 2010

VALID 231300Z - 241200Z

...NO SVR TSTM AREAS FORECAST...

CURRENT SATELLITE LOOPS SHOW A WELL-DEFINED UPPER TROUGH MOVING
ACROSS THE GREAT BASIN. THIS SYSTEM WILL ROTATE EASTWARD ACROSS THE
ROCKIES TODAY/TONIGHT WHERE IT IS EXPECTED TO STALL AND DEEPEN. THE
LOW/MID LEVEL BAROCLINIC ZONE ASSOCIATED WITH THE TROUGH WILL TRACK
ACROSS PARTS OF AZ/NM/UT/CO DURING THIS FORECAST PERIOD AND PROVIDE
THE FOCUS FOR SCATTERED PRECIPITATION. A COMBINATION OF COOL MID
LEVEL TEMPERATURES AND SUFFICIENT LOW/MID LEVEL MOISTURE WILL POSE A
RISK OF A FEW THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE REGION TODAY. NO SEVERE
STORMS ARE ANTICIPATED AT THIS TIME.
