DAY 4-8 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0328 AM CST SAT MAR 06 2010

VALID 091200Z - 141200Z

...DISCUSSION...

GULF OF MEXICO WILL GRADUALLY MODIFY INTO MID WEEK WHICH SHOULD
ALLOW FOR A WARMER MARITIME AIRMASS TO EVENTUALLY SPREAD INLAND
ACROSS MUCH OF THE SRN GULF STATES. LATEST MODEL GUIDANCE SUGGESTS
MID LEVEL HEIGHT FIELD WILL REMAIN SUPPRESSED FAIRLY FAR SOUTH AND
MULTIPLE TRANSITORY SHORTWAVE TROUGHS WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO
EVENTUALLY ENHANCE CONVECTION...POSSIBLY SEVERE ACROSS THIS REGION.
HOWEVER...MODEL PREDICTABILITY IN ANY ONE SCENARIO WILL REMAIN TOO
LOW TO WARRANT AN OUTLOOK AT THIS TIME.
