GREAT LAKES REGION...MID MISSISSIPPI AND OHIO VALLEYS THIS AFTERNOON
AND TONIGHT...

THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER IN NORMAN OK IS FORECASTING THE
DEVELOPMENT OF DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...AND PERHAPS ISOLATED
TORNADOES OVER PARTS OF THE SOUTHERN GREAT LAKES REGION...MID
MISSISSIPPI AND OHIO VALLEYS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

THE AREAS MOST LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE THIS ACTIVITY INCLUDE

SOUTHEASTERN IOWA
CENTRAL AND NORTHERN ILLINOIS
CENTRAL AND NORTHERN INDIANA
NORTHEAST MISSOURI
CENTRAL AND NORTHERN OHIO

ELSEWHERE...SEVERE STORMS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE OVER THE MID ATLANTIC
STATES AND NEW ENGLAND.

ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME INCREASINGLY UNSTABLE
BY LATE THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS THE MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY INTO THE
SOUTHERN GREAT LAKE STATES AND OHIO VALLEY REGION. THIS IS EXPECTED
TO BECOME FAVORABLE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ORGANIZED CLUSTERS OF
SEVERE STORMS...WITH THE APPROACH OF A WEATHER DISTURBANCE MOVING
OUT OF THE NORTHERN PLAINS AND ROCKIES REGION. AIDED BY SEASONABLY
STRONG WESTERLY WINDS...STORMS WILL BE FAST MOVING...AND POTENTIALLY
ACCOMPANIED BY WIDESPREAD STRONG AND DAMAGING WINDS.

STATE AND LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGERS ARE MONITORING THIS DEVELOPING
