THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS
NORTHWEST LOUISIANA
NORTHEAST TEXAS

EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON FROM 105 PM UNTIL 400 PM CDT.

TORNADOES...HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS
TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 50 STATUTE
MILES EITHER SIDE OF A LINE FROM 45 MILES NORTHWEST OF TEXARKANA
ARKANSAS TO 15 MILES EAST SOUTHEAST OF NATCHITOCHES LOUISIANA.

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR

AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

LOCATED IN CENTRAL TX. AS THIS SYSTEM CONTINUES TO MOVE
NEWD...DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE THE MAIN THREAT. ALSO...GIVEN THE
BACKED LOW LEVEL WINDS AND 30 KT SWLY WINDS IN THE MID LEVELS...AN
ISOLATED TORNADO OR TWO IS POSSIBLE ALONG THE LEADING EDGE OF LINE
AND IN ISOLATED STORMS AHEAD OF LINE.

AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 1 INCH. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND
GUSTS TO 60 KNOTS. A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO 550.
