LOCATED OVER THE NRN HIGH PLAINS WITH A PLUME OF MID-LEVEL MOISTURE
EXTENDING FROM THE CNTRL ROCKIES NNEWD ACROSS THE CNTRL PLAINS. THIS
FEATURE IS ORIENTED PARALLEL TO A SHARPLY DEFINED COLD FRONT FROM
NORFOLK NEB SSWWD TO NEAR DODGE CITY KS. THUNDERSTORMS ARE ONGOING
ALONG THE BOUNDARY WITH A CONVECTIVE CLUSTER LOCATED IN SRN NEB AND
NRN/WRN KS ON THE WRN EDGE OF MODERATE INSTABILITY. SFC DEWPOINTS
ARE CURRENTLY IN THE MID TO UPPER 60S F AHEAD OF THE FRONT WHICH
COMBINED WITH SFC-3 KM LAPSE RATES IN THE 9 TO 10 C/KM RANGE EVIDENT
ON THE DODGE CITY 00Z SOUNDING SHOULD SUPPORT A MARGINAL THREAT FOR
DAMAGING WIND GUSTS WITH THE MORE INTENSE SHORT LINE-SEGMENTS.
