RIDGING IN THE W. WITHIN THIS REGIME...A SHORT WAVE TROUGH/JET
STREAK OVER THE MID/LOWER MO VALLEY WILL AMPLIFY WHILE TRANSLATING
SEWD THROUGH THE SERN STATES. ELSEWHERE...A SHORT WAVE TROUGH OVER
THE NERN PACIFIC WILL BECOME INCREASINGLY SHEARED WHILE MOVING
INLAND THROUGH THE PACIFIC NW INTO NRN INTERMOUNTAIN REGION. THIS
UPPER-AIR PATTERN WILL MAINTAIN A DRY...STABLE LOW-LEVEL AIR MASS
OVER MOST OF THE CONUS THROUGH THE DAY ONE PERIOD. ASIDE FROM A FEW
LIGHTNING STRIKES ALONG THE PACIFIC NW COAST AND PERHAPS IN THE LEE
OF LAKES ERIE AND ONTARIO...NO ORGANIZED TSTM ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED.
