DAY 1 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0635 PM CST THU DEC 23 2010

VALID 240100Z - 241200Z

...NO SVR TSTM AREAS FORECAST...

...SOUTHERN PLAINS...

LOW LEVEL WARM ADVECTION IS BEGINNING TO INCREASE ACROSS THE
SRN/CNTRL PLAINS THIS EVENING PER RECENT INCREASE IN SHOWERS FROM
CNTRL OK INTO ERN KS. THIS ACTIVITY IS EVOLVING WITHIN A WEAK
INSTABILITY REGIME AND SHOULD STRUGGLE TO ATTAIN DEPTHS NECESSARY
FOR MORE THAN AN ISOLATED LIGHTNING STRIKE AT BEST. FARTHER
SOUTH...SLIGHTLY MORE INSTABILITY MAY ENHANCE THE PROSPECT FOR A FEW
ELEVATED THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS WCNTRL INTO NCNTRL TX...BUT EVEN HERE
THERMODYNAMIC PROFILES ARE NOT PARTICULARLY SUPPORTIVE OF A LOT OF
DEEP CONVECTION CAPABLE OF GENERATING LIGHTNING.
