0649 AM CST FRI DEC 03 2010

VALID 031300Z - 041200Z

...NO TSTM AREAS FORECAST...

...SYNOPSIS...
A MIDLEVEL RIDGE WILL REMAIN OVER THE INTERMOUNTAIN WEST...WHILE A
LARGE-SCALE TROUGH PERSISTS DOWNSTREAM OVER THE GREAT LAKES AND
NORTHEAST. OFFSHORE FLOW AND A DRY CONTINENTAL AIR MASS WILL
DOMINATE THE ERN GULF AND ATLANTIC COASTS...AND A WEAK RETURN FLOW
REGIME IS DEVELOPING ACROSS THE W/NW GULF. SOME INCREASE IN
LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE IS EXPECTED ALONG THE TX COAST THROUGH
TONIGHT...BUT WARM MIDLEVEL TEMPERATURES WILL LIMIT INSTABILITY AND
ANY POTENTIAL FOR DEEP CONVECTION. OTHERWISE...A SHORTWAVE TROUGH
NEAR 130 W WILL REMAIN OFFSHORE THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY...PRECLUDING
ANY RISK FOR THUNDERSTORMS IN CA.
