A PROGRESSIVE UPPER FLOW PATTERN WILL ENCOMPASS MUCH OF THE
CONUS...WHILE AN UPPER RIDGE CENTERED OVER THE ERN PACIFIC EXPANDS
INTO THE DESERT SOUTHWEST. A SHORTWAVE IMPULSE ROTATING AROUND THE
PERIPHERY OF THE UPPER RIDGE WILL DIG SWD ACROSS THE FOUR CORNERS
REGION AND INTO FAR W TX LATE IN THE PERIOD. ELSEWHERE...SHALLOW
CONVECTION MAY DEVELOP ALONG A WEAKENING PACIFIC COLD FRONT
APPROACHING THE OR/WA COAST TODAY...BUT INSTABILITY SHOULD REMAIN
TOO MEAGER TO SUPPORT THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT. STABLE CONDITIONS
WILL PERSIST ACROSS THE REST OF THE NATION.
