IS EXPECTED TO MOVE NEWD IN RESPONSE TO THE APPROACH OF AN UPSTREAM
MIDLEVEL TROUGH OVER THE TN VALLEY. A SURFACE COLD FRONT IS MOVING
SEWD INTO THE FL STRAITS...WITH COOLING/DRYING EXPECTED TODAY ACROSS
SE FL AND THE KEYS. SOME WEAK ELEVATED CONVECTION HAS FORMED OVER
THE SE GULF OF MEXICO ON THE COOL SIDE OF THE BOUNDARY. 12Z
SOUNDINGS FROM MIAMI AND KEY WEST SHOW ONLY WEAK INSTABILITY AND A
LINGERING MIDLEVEL STABLE LAYER NEAR 600 MB...THUS THE SE GULF
CONVECTION IS NOT EXPECTED TO REACH S FL. OTHERWISE...A DRY
CONTINENTAL AIR MASS COVERS THE CONUS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE NOT
EXPECTED.
