THE MID-MS VALLEY ON FRIDAY. WELL TO THE EAST OF THE UPPER-LEVEL
LOW...AN AXIS OF LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE IS FORECAST ACROSS THE
MID-ATLANTIC WHERE SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS MAY INITIATE FRIDAY
AFTERNOON. GFS FORECAST SOUNDINGS AT 21Z FRIDAY SHOW A SMALL POCKET
OF MODERATE INSTABILITY ACROSS ERN PA AND NJ BUT IN A RELATIVELY
WEAKLY SHEARED ENVIRONMENT. DEEP LAYER SHEAR IS FORECAST TO BE ABOUT
25 KT WHICH COMBINED WITH MLCAPE VALUES AROUND 1000 J/KG WILL
PROBABLY NOT BE ENOUGH FOR A SEVERE THREAT FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
ELSEWHERE ACROSS THE CONUS...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS NOT
EXPECTED FRIDAY OR FRIDAY NIGHT.
