A RELATIVELY BENIGN PATTERN FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL EXIST ON DAY 2
WITH GENERALLY ZONAL FLOW ACROSS THE NRN HALF OF THE CONUS. VERY
STRONG FLOW WILL EXIST FROM THE GREAT LAKES INTO NEW ENGLAND AT THE
BASE OF A LARGE UPPER LOW CENTERED OVER NRN ONTARIO. VERY COOL AIR
ALOFT OVERSPREADING WARM LAKES MAY RESULT IN A FEW WEAK LAKE EFFECT
THUNDERSTORMS.

TO THE W...A WEAK LOW AMPLITUDE SHORTWAVE TROUGH IS FORECAST TO MOVE
ACROSS THE PACIFIC NW INTO THE NRN ROCKIES. HEATING ALONG WITH WEAK
FORCING INCLUDING WLY UPSLOPE SHOULD RESULT IN A FEW AFTERNOON
THUNDERSTORMS. SOME OF THESE COULD HAVE GUSTY WINDS GIVEN MODERATE
MID LEVEL FLOW IN PLACE. HOWEVER..GIVEN WEAK INSTABILITY...STORMS
SHOULD NOT BE SEVERE.
