TSTM RISK ACROSS THE CONUS WILL BE VERY LOW TO NIL TDY/TONIGHT OWING
TO GENERALLY STABLE/DRY CONTINENTAL POLAR AIR MASS COVERING THE
COUNTRY.

A COUPLE OF LIGHTNING STRIKES OCCURRED PRIOR TO 12Z ACROSS WRN WA
AHEAD OF A COMPACT MID-LVL DISTURBANCE MOVING ONSHORE. THIS WAVE
WILL CONTINUE DOWNSTREAM ALONG THE INTERNATIONAL BORDER TDY. IN
WAKE OF THE FEATURE...WARMING MID-LVL TEMPS WILL DECREASE THREATS
FOR ANY ADDITIONAL LIGHTNING ALONG THE COAST IN THE POST-FRONTAL AIR
MASS.

MEANWHILE...WEAK RETURN FLOW WAS NOTED ALONG THE WRN GULF COASTAL
REGION DOWNSTREAM FROM A LOW-AMPLITUDE WAVE. FCST SOUNDINGS SUGGEST
THAT A MID-LVL WARM NOSE WILL CAP ANY CONVECTION THAT MAY FORM
ACROSS SRN TX COASTAL LOCATIONS THROUGH THE DAY. THUS...NO TSTMS
ARE EXPECTED.
