WILL DEAMPLIFY AS IT EJECTS INTO THE NERN U.S. THURSDAY MORNING
WHILE A HIGHER AMPLITUDE UPSTREAM TROUGH ADVANCES INTO THE ERN
STATES ACCOMPANIED BY A STRONG CP FRONT. DRYER BOUNDARY LAYER AIR IN
WAKE OF THE LEAD VORT MAX AND ITS ATTENDANT COLD FRONT WILL EXIST
AHEAD THE STRONGER UPSTREAM FRONT. HOWEVER...COLD AIR ALOFT...MODEST
DIABATIC WARMING OF THE BOUNDARY LAYER AND STRONG FRONTOGENETIC
FORCING WITHIN UPPER JET EXIT REGION THAT WILL ROTATE THROUGH BASE
OF TROUGH WILL CONTRIBUTE TO A BAND OF SHALLOW CONVECTION OVER THE
SRN THROUGH CNTRL APPALACHIANS THURSDAY AFTERNOON. DUE TO LIMITED
BOUNDARY LAYER MOISTURE...INSTABILITY WILL REMAIN WEAK WITH ONLY
ISOLATED LIGHTNING ACTIVITY EXPECTED AT BEST.
