COLD FRONT HAS STALLED FROM NRN AND WRN TX INTO ERN NM. CLUSTER OF
STORMS PERSISTS OVER WRN TX NEAR AND SOUTH OF LUBBOCK...AND OTHER
CELLS ARE INITIATING AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE FRONT AND WWD
PROPAGATING OUTFLOW BOUNDARY. UPPER RIDGE HAS BEEN SLOWLY BUILDING
DURING THE DAY WITH SUBSIDENCE CONTRIBUTING TO MID LEVEL DRYING AND
SLIGHT WARMING ALOFT RESULTING IN MODEST /6.5-7 C/KM/ LAPSE RATES.
STORMS ARE DEVELOPING WITHIN WEAK SHEAR AND MODEST /1000-1500 J/KG/
MLCAPE. THIS ENVIRONMENT WILL SUPPORT ONLY A MARGINAL THREAT FOR
ISOLATED STRONG WIND GUSTS AND HAIL BEFORE STORMS DIMINISH AS THE
BOUNDARY LAYER STABILIZES TOWARD MID EVENING.
