DAY 1 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0757 PM CDT MON AUG 06 2012

VALID 070100Z - 071200Z

...NO SVR TSTM AREAS FORECAST...

...CENTRAL NEB AND VICINITY...
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED ACROSS PARTS OF THE CENTRAL
NEB VICINITY...ALONG A WEAK SURFACE FRONT SHIFTING SEWD ACROSS THE
AREA. DAYTIME HEATING HAS CONTRIBUTED TO MODERATE INSTABILITY
ACROSS THIS REGION...WHICH IS SUPPORTING THE ONGOING STORMS.
HOWEVER...WITH THE LOSS OF HEATING AND SUBSEQUENT STABILIZATION OF
THE LOW-LEVEL AIRMASS...EXPECT STORMS TO BECOME SLIGHTLY ELEVATED
WITH TIME -- BEFORE WEAKENING LATER THIS EVENING/TONIGHT.
OVERALL...A TREND TOWARD DIMINISHING SEVERE POTENTIAL IS
EXPECTED...WITH ONLY ISOLATED THREAT FOR HAIL AND/OR GUSTY WINDS
OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS.

...LA/SWRN MS AND VICINITY...
A FEW SEMI-ORGANIZED/MULTICELL STORM CLUSTERS PERSIST ACROSS THE MS
VALLEY REGION OF SWRN MS/ERN LA ATTM...FUELED BY A MOIST/MODERATELY
UNSTABLE AIRMASS. WHILE A LOCAL THREAT FOR GUSTY WINDS AND/OR
MARGINAL HAIL WILL BE POSSIBLE WITHIN THIS AREA...THREAT WILL SLOWLY
DIMINISH WITH TIME THIS EVENING AS STORMS GRADUALLY WEAKEN.
