MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON.

FLOODING REPORTED IN ZION NATIONAL PARK, INCLUDING IN THE
NARROWS. THE NORTH FORK OF THE VIRGIN RIVER ROSE FROM 52
CFS TO 1004 CFS IN ONE HOUR. LARGE WATERFALLS COMING OFF
CLIFFS CLOSED NUMEROUS HIKES, TEMPORARILY STRANDING
HIKERS.

THE LAUB DIKE IN SANTA CLARA FAILED FOLLOWING HEAVY
RAINFALL, RELEASING ALL OF THE WATER THAT HAD ACCUMULATED
IN THE ASSOCIATED RETENTION POND. THIS QUICKLY CAUSED
FLOODING IN PARTS OF SANTA CLARA, WITH REPORTED DAMAGE IN
25 TO 30 HOMES AND ABOUT A DOZEN BUSINESSES.

FLASH FLOODING REPORTED IN CAPITOL REEF NATIONAL PARK.
WATER WAS FLOWING ACROSS THE SCENIC DRIVE, CAUSING PARK
OFFICIALS TO CLOSE THE ROAD.
