10/01/2012 F0 COOSA AL NWS STORM SURVEY

A TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN BRIEFLY IN ELMORE COUNTY CAUSING
MINIMAL TREE DAMAGE THEN TRAVELED INTO COOSA COUNTY. IN
COOSA COUNTY, THE TORNADO DROPPED SOME LARGE PINES, THEN
A LARGE OAK, WHICH FELL INTO A SMALL BARN AND A COUPLE OF
OUTBUILDINGS. THE TORNADO PATH WAS 0.5 MILES LONG AND 150
YARDS WIDE AT ITS WIDEST POINT. WIND SPEEDS WERE
ESTIMTATED AT 75-85 MPH.

RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES OF ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN
FELL IN THE OXFORD AREA IN LESS THAN A TWO HOUR PERIOD
CAUSING PONDING OF WATER ON AREA ROADS.
