DAY 1 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0653 PM CST THU NOV 22 2012

VALID 230100Z - 231200Z

...NO SVR TSTM AREAS FORECAST...

...SYNOPSIS/FORECAST...
AT MID EVENING...A STRONG COLD FRONT EXTENDS FROM CNTRL LAKE
SUPERIOR TO NWRN OK AND FARTHER WEST OVER THE CNTRL/SRN ROCKIES.
ISOLATED ELEVATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL PERSIST IN A ZONE OF WEAK WARM
ADVECTION LEADING THE FRONT FROM LOWER MI SWWD INTO SERN MO FOR THE
NEXT FEW HOURS...BEFORE INSTABILITY BECOMES INSUFFICIENT TO SUPPORT
LIGHTNING PRODUCTION. FARTHER SW INTO PARTS OF AR...SRN OK...AND NRN
TX...ELEVATED STORMS COULD DEVELOP LATER IN THE NIGHT AS THE FRONT
UNDERCUTS A RELATIVELY MORE MOIST AND CONDITIONALLY UNSTABLE AIR
MASS. HOWEVER...WEAK DEEP ASCENT WILL KEEP ANY INSTANCES OF
LIGHTNING ISOLATED. SVR STORMS ARE UNLIKELY FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE
PERIOD.
