THE MEDIUM RANGE MODELS BEGIN THE DAY 4 TO 8 PERIOD WITH AN
UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH FROM THE CNTRL PLAINS EXTENDING SWWD INTO THE
FOUR CORNERS REGION. THE MODELS MOVE THIS SYSTEM EWD INTO THE SRN
PLAINS ON FRIDAY/DAY 4. THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE
LOWER MS VALLEY AND CNTRL GULF COAST STATES FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT
AS A LOW-LEVEL JET DEVELOPS AHEAD OF THE APPROACHING TROUGH. THE
POTENTIAL FOR THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL CONTINUE EWD INTO THE ERN
GULF COAST STATES AND FL ON SATURDAY/DAY 5. WEAK INSTABILITY AND
SOMEWHAT LIMITED MOISTURE RETURN IN THE GULF COAST STATES IS
EXPECTED TO KEEP ANY SEVERE THREAT ISOLATED IN NATURE FROM FRIDAY
THROUGH SATURDAY.
