SNOWFALL RATES AROUND 1 IN/HR OCCURRING WITHIN A BAND OF MODERATE TO
HEAVY SNOW ACROSS PARTS OF COASTAL NEW ENGLAND. THIS BAND APPEARS TO
BE RELATIVELY WELL-FORECAST BY 00Z CONVECTION-ALLOWING MODEL
GUIDANCE /ALBEIT SOMEWHAT SLOW IN TIMING/ AND THE 09Z SREF MEAN/12Z
NAM. AS THE COLD-CONVEYOR BELT/ASSOCIATED DEFORMATION AXIS NEAR 700
MB SHIFTS E OF THE COAST...LIFT WITHIN THE DENDRITIC GROWTH ZONE
WILL SUBSIDE BY EARLY AFTERNOON. HOWEVER...FORECAST SOUNDINGS
SUGGEST NEAR-SATURATED CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST INFERRING THAT LIGHT
TO MODERATE SNOWFALL WILL CONTINUE FOR MUCH OF THE AFTERNOON EVEN
