BULLOCH COUNTY 911 DISPATCH RELAYED NUMEROUS REPORTS OF
ROAD CLOSURES IN OR NEAR THE STATESBORO CITY LIMITS.
APPROXIMATELY 20 TO 25 WATER RESCUES REPORTED DUE TO
FLOODING IN THE FIRST FLOOR OF AN APARTMENT COMPLEX AND
HOMES ALONG JOHNSON STREET AND WEST SIDE ROAD AS WELL AS
HODGES CIRCLE. TWO DAM FAILURES REPORTED NORTHEAST OF
THE STATESBORO CITY LIMITS. ONE OF THE DAMS WAS ALONG
BUCK CREEK ROAD. FIRST ROAD CLOSURE REPORTED AT 556 PM.
NUMEROUS ROADS AND HOMES REMAIN FLOODED THROUGH 830 PM.

PARTS OF 278 WERE CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING FROM EXCESSIVE
RAINFALL RUNOFF. SEVERAL SIDE STREETS OFF OF
278...INCLUDING WILLARD...3RD...5TH... AND HOLLY
FLOODED. 363 AND WADE HAMTPON CLOSED. 601 AND MAGNOLIA
CLOSED. FLOODING LASTED THROUGH APPROXIMATELY 830 PM.

THE FORT PULASKI TIDE GAGE. SHALLOW COASTAL FLOODING
TYPICALLY BEGINS ALONG THE UPPER GEORGIA COAST WHEN TIDE
LEVELS REACH 9.20 FT MLLW.

HOULIHAN BOAT RAMP NEAR PORT WENTWORTH IS COMPLETELY
COVERED WITH WATER FROM THE SAVANNAH RIVER...SOME OF
WHICH IS FLOWING ONTO THE NEARBY PARKING LOT. REPORT
FROM THE PUBLIC RELAYED BY SAVANNAH TV STATION.

A MAXIMUM TIDE LEVEL OF 7.37 FT MLLW WAS OBSERVED AT
THE CHARLESTON HARBOR TIDE GAGE. SHALLOW COASTAL
FLOODING TYPICALLY BEGINS ALONG THE SOUTHERN SOUTH
CAROLINA COAST WHEN TIDE LEVELS REACH 7.0 FT MLLW.
