NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
1144 PM CST MON NOV 04 2013
VALID 061200Z - 071200Z
...NO SVR TSTM AREAS FORECAST...
...SOUTH TX...
POSITIVE TILTED LONG WAVE TROUGH WILL SHIFT ACROSS THE PLAINS
WEDNESDAY WITH THE STRONGEST FORCING/ASCENT EXPECTED TO FOCUS ACROSS
THE GREAT LAKES REGION WHERE WARM ADVECTION WILL BE MAXIMIZED.
TRAILING COLD FRONT AT SUNRISE WILL EXTEND ACROSS THE ARKLATEX INTO
SWRN TX. WHILE MID LEVEL LAPSE RATES ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN POOR
ACROSS THIS REGION BOUNDARY LAYER MOISTURE WILL BE SEASONALLY HIGH
AND FORECAST SOUNDINGS SUGGEST ADEQUATE CAPE FOR A CORRIDOR OF
SHALLOW FRONTAL CONVECTION. WITHIN THIS FRONTAL BAND...A FEW OF THE
STRONGER UPDRAFTS MAY PENETRATE HEIGHTS SUFFICIENT FOR A FEW
LIGHTNING STRIKES. FOR THIS REASON WILL MAINTAIN LOW THUNDER
PROBABILITIES ACROSS PORTIONS OF SERN/SOUTH TX IN ASSOCIATION WITH
CONVECTION THAT DEVELOPS ALONG SWD PLUNGING COLD FRONT.
