U.S. THIS PERIOD...WHILE ON THE SMALLER SCALE A SHORT-WAVE TROUGH
EMBEDDED IN THE LARGER-SCALE CYCLONIC FLOW FIELD WILL CROSS THE
NORTHEAST U.S. AND SHIFT INTO THE CANADIAN MARITIMES WHILE A SECOND
DIGS SEWD OUT OF WRN CANADA AND THE ROCKIES INTO THE CENTRAL CONUS.

AT THE SURFACE...CONTINENTAL POLAR AIR PREVAILING ACROSS MOST OF THE
U.S. WILL CONTINUE ADVANCING SEWD ACROSS THE SERN STATES. AT THE
LEADING EDGE OF THE POLAR AIRMASS...A COLD FRONT WILL FOCUS SHOWERS
-- AND PERHAPS A COUPLE OF LIGHTNING STRIKES -- AS IT SHIFTS ACROSS
AL/GA/THE CAROLINAS INTO AND ACROSS FL THROUGH THE END OF THE
PERIOD.
