PREVAIL ACROSS THE U.S. MONDAY...WITH COLD/DRY CONTINENTAL AIR TO
PREVAIL ACROSS MUCH OF THE COUNTRY. AS SUCH...THUNDERSTORMS ARE
LIKEWISE NOT EXPECTED OVER MOST AREAS...WITH THE ONE EXCEPTION BEING
ACROSS THE FOUR CORNERS REGION.

HERE...A SHORT-WAVE TROUGH SHIFTING ESEWD INTO THE REGION DURING THE
AFTERNOON WILL BRING A COMBINATION OF BOTH ASCENT AS WELL AS SOME
STEEPENING OF MID-LEVEL LAPSE RATES. AS A RESULT...EXPECT SHOWERS
TO SPREAD ACROSS THE FOUR CORNERS AREA...ALONG WITH THE POTENTIAL
FOR A FEW/SPORADIC LIGHTNING STRIKES DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY
