DAY 4-8 CONVECTIVE OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0333 AM CDT MON MAY 05 2008
VALID 081200Z - 131200Z
...DISCUSSION...
MEDIUM RANGE GUIDANCE ARE CONSISTENT IN RAPIDLY DEAMPLIFYING THE UPR
LOW THAT WILL BE MOVING FROM THE MID-SOUTH INTO THE TN/OH VLYS ON
THURSDAY. MODERATE FLOW WILL ACCOMPANY THE WEAKENING SYSTEM WITH
THE PRIMARY INSTABILITY AXIS LAGGING WELL S/SW ACROSS THE DEEP
SOUTH. WHILE A FEW SEVERE TSTMS CANNOT BE RULED OUT...A ROBUST
SEVERE EPISODE IS NOT LIKELY AND AN EXTENDED SVR FCST AREA WILL NOT
BE DELINEATED.
BEYOND DAY 4/5...MEDIUM RANGE GUIDANCE PORTRAYS MUCH UNCERTAINTY
WITH THE UPR FLOW REGIME 180 DEGREE OUT OF PHASE WITH EACH OTHER AT
TIMES. THUS...THE REMAINDER OF THE PERIOD WILL EXABIT
PREDICTABILITY TOO LOW.
..RACY.. 05/05/2008
