THROUGHOUT THE BARFIELD AREA THERE WERE TREES AND POWER
LINES DOWN. IN THE SOUTHRIDGE SUBDIVISION THERE WERE
TREES 2-3 FEET IN DIAMETER THAT WERE BLOWN DOWN. ON
AMHERST DRIVE, JUST SOUTH OF MURFREESBORO, A TELEPHONE
POLE WAS SNAPPED IN HALF, POSSIBLY FROM THE WEIGHT OF A
TREE ABOUT 50 YARDS AWAY THAT HAD BLOWN OVER. ON
LAWRENCE RD. A MAN HAD A TREE COME DOWN ON HIS WELL HOUSE
AND DESTROY IT. SEVERAL TREES ON HIS FRONT YARD WERE DESTROYED
AS WELL AS OTHER TREES ALONG THE STREET. A MAN WAS WORKING
IN HIS SHED WHEN THE STORM HIT. HE STATED THAT HE WENT TO
THE DOOR TO LOOK OUT AND ENDED UP HANGING ON THE THE DOOR
WITH HIS FEET OFF OF THE GROUND. THE ROOF OF A HAY BARN WAS
MOSTLY BLOWN OFF. LARGE PIECES OF THE ROOF WERE LOCATED
50-60 YARDS AWAY. ON BARFIELD CRESCENT RD THERE WERE TWO
REPORTS OF TREES BLOWN DOWN ON HOUSES. IT APPEARED THAT
THE TREES WERE ALL LYING THE SAME WAY MOST OF THE TIME.
