AFTER THE DEPARTURE OF THE MID-LEVEL TROUGH FROM THE EASTERN
SEABOARD...FLOW REGIME WILL FEATURE A LARGE POLAR VORTEX ACROSS THE
UPR GRTLKS AND SERN CANADA AND A LOW-AMPLITUDE SRN STREAM ACROSS THE
SRN TIER OF THE COUNTRY. THE IMPULSE THAT REACHES THE CA COAST ON
FRIDAY WITHIN THE LATTER STREAM WILL DEAMPLIFY AND QUICKLY TRANSLATE
INTO THE SCNTRL PLAINS BY 12Z SUNDAY. CONTINENTAL POLAR AIR THAT
SPILLS SWD INTO THE GULF BASIN WILL ONLY PARTIALLY MODIFY AS RETURN
FLOW INCREASES ACROSS THE SCNTRL PLAINS LATE ON SATURDAY. AS A
RESULT...ONLY MEAGER AMOUNTS OF PACIFIC MOISTURE WILL BE AT PLAY AND
ONLY ISOLD CONVECTION CAN BE EXPECTED...PRIMARILY OVER THE
FOUR-CORNERS REGION.
