...DISCUSSION...
A COLD FRONT -- PROGGED TO EXTEND FROM THE NORTHEAST U.S. SWD INTO
FL AT THE START OF DAY 4 /WED 12-1/ SHOULD CONTINUE MOVING OFF THE
ERN SEABOARD THROUGH THE DAY...WITH ONLY THE OCCLUDED NRN PORTION OF
THE FRONT LINGERING OVER NEW ENGLAND THROUGH THE END OF THE PERIOD.
AS THE ASSOCIATED UPPER TROUGH MOVES ACROSS THE ERN
CONUS...LARGE-SCALE/LOW-AMPLITUDE RIDGING IS FORECAST TO SLOWLY
EVOLVE ACROSS THE COUNTRY...LINGERING THROUGH MUCH OF THE FORECAST
PERIOD. WITH THE SURFACE FRONT MOVING LARGELY OFFSHORE DAY 4...AND
THEN LARGE-SCALE CONDITIONS EVOLVING WITH TIME WHICH ARE LARGELY
UNFAVORABLE FOR DEEP MOIST CONVECTION...APPRECIABLE SEVERE THREAT IS
NOT EVIDENT ATTM.
