NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
1102 PM CST THU DEC 02 2010

VALID 031200Z - 041200Z

...NO TSTM AREAS FORECAST...

UPPER PATTERN WILL BE DOMINATED BY A SYNOPTIC SCALE TROUGH OVER THE
ERN U.S. WITH A RIDGE IN THE WEST. SHORTWAVE TROUGH NOW MOVING INTO
THE PACIFIC NW WILL DEAMPLIFY SIGNIFICANTLY AS IT CONTINUES THROUGH
THE MEAN RIDGE POSITION AND INTO THE NRN ROCKIES...REACHING THE NRN
PLAINS TONIGHT. STEEPER MID-LEVEL LAPSE RATES WILL ACCOMPANY THIS
FEATURE INTO THE NRN ROCKIES...BUT INSTABILITY WILL REMAIN TOO
LIMITED FOR A THUNDERSTORM THREAT.

MODIFIED CP AIR WILL BEGIN ADVECTING NWD THROUGH ERN TX AND THE
LOWER MS VALLEY IN RESPONSE TO DEVELOPING PLAINS LEE TROUGH...BUT
MOISTURE RETURN WILL REMAIN INSUFFICIENT FOR ANY APPRECIABLE
THUNDERSTORM THREAT.
